A Velhice do Padre Eterno by Abílio Manuel Guerra Junqueiro

The ebooks@cambridge team and the UL are pleased to announce that we have subscribed to the Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment Print & Online series, until 31st December 2026. The subscription encompasses the permanent purchase of twelve 2026 published titles (print and ebook), with term access to all volumes published 2017-2025. This collection sits alongside the Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment Online Archive (purchased in perpetuity in 2025) which covers volumes published 1955-2021 (so there are five overlapping years).

Volumes in this series “cover wide-ranging aspects of the eighteenth century and the Enlightenment, from gender studies to political theory, and from economics to visual arts and music, and are published in English or French.” [From the publishers’ website.]

Access to the content has been switched on and title records are searchable in iDiscover, as well as from the ebooks@cambridge LibGuide. All titles can be downloaded in full as either PDF or EPUB or both. A new volume is published every month, and so far the titles for January and February are live;

Forthcoming titles include;

This Liverpool University Press Blog post by John Renwick, author of “Voltaire and the Sirven affair (1762-1772)” may be of interest. The book was published as part of the Oxford Studies in the Enlightenment series in December 2025.
