
Some users are reporting the following error message when trying to access titles on the Ebook Central platform:
Sorry, your institution does not allow access to ProQuest Ebook Central from your current IP address. Please contact your librarian.
This is due to a recent technical issue affecting Ebook Central. ProQuest has now resolved the underlying issue, but some users may still need to clear their cache and cookies.
ProQuest has created an easy tool to clear the cookies and enable a new browser session:
https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/clearcookie/clearcookie.html
If you are still seeing the error message, please try clicking on the link or pasting it into your browser address bar. This will remove the offending cookie and allow you to access the platform again.
Note: Clicking the “clear cookie” link in this post will start the process of clearing your cookies and you should see the message “Refreshing your sign-in session”. Once completed, you will be directed to ProQuest’s Ebook Central information homepage. To get back to Ebook Central itself, either search for the ebook again in iDiscover or click here to reach Ebook Central directly.
